Ultimately, the lives of the tribes are more important to preserve than to meditate, once more, on their near-destruction.
The architecture was also noteworthy. It seemed as if a southwestern pueblo had been dropped right in the center of a modern city modeled on the grand capitals of Europe. Like PTJ stated, we should monitor where our trains are headed... and sometimes, we should stop and get off at a certain station -- if need be -- just to reflect on what direction to travel next.

Yeah, I guess I want a small home base and a vast network of many communities. And how else, why would they not be possibilities? I've attempted this approach and it works wonders. And twenty years from now, you will probably regret not daring to dream your dreams and not doing things you wish you had done (as opposed to failures, and things you had done). What's to lose? Enough of the homeless man talk, start dreaming like CEOs and Nobel Prize winners, people. :)Alexhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04657395824859805257noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2895051152450109820.post-54647043719753359672009-12-05T14:58:29.378-05:002009-12-05T14:58:29.378-05:00It's always interesting wondering how the peop...It's always interesting wondering how the people of the past contrast with how we portray them today in our art, movies, and literature, or how their are thought of by modern people. The very fact that Washington relinquished his power shows that he did not think of himself as a deity, but he was seen as a god for such a revolutionary move. Don't you love irony?
I was thinking much the same thing doing research for my final Explorations paper on the film Anastasia. The Romanovs have been so idealized as the loving, beautiful, glamorous royal family, that we can no longer see their flaws. As cheesy as it sounds, I think happiness exudes into all aspects of your life. If I was part of a community that made me truly happy, then I think I would be happy with my career, my family, and my lifestyle. Many of the speakers we've had have said that they stumbled across the career that made them truly happy. I think this theory transfers into the communities we are involved in. Atleast for me, I don't know what community I want to be involved in yet...but I know someday I'll come across a community I truly desire to be in that will make me truly happy.Juliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04129837045443035149noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2895051152450109820.post-62391260347546547762009-12-03T02:58:04.594-05:002009-12-03T02:58:04.594-05:00Fortunately for me, I am not one to be guided by t...Fortunately for me, I am not one to be guided by the infamous "snooze button." Unfortunately for me, instead I turn off my cellphone's alarm and simply drift back into a nice doze. I have become quite efficient with this, and no longer fall asleep for half an hour, now only a few minutes. I'm not exactly sure what it is that's so appealing about those extra couple of minutes, but there's definitely something. Probably just that sleep is that awesome. Who knows? You don't, I don't. Whatever may be the case, I wish you luck with your future snooze button issues. Honestly I never thought about my class being a community. I’ve always considered that too small to be and community and the fact that it is only meeting at scheduled times hinders it from my definition of a community. It is different when considering this UC program because we all live together and we all are constantly interacting – forming friendships, but other classes just seem so scheduled that there is no bond. I wonder what your definition of a community is. In reference to your problem with the snooze button, I also suffer terrible with this problem to. It’s the fact that your bed is just so comfortable and you know that when you get up you actually have to accomplish something in your day. There have been many times that I have told my roommate I would do something and then back out because I just want those five more minutes. I thought the same exact thing about the statue because it was as if he was a Greek god, and it was strange because normally we do not put a president as analogous to a prominent Grecian figure. You're also lucky you got to go to the National Museum of American History and look around! When I went with my boyfriend we went in for about 15 minutes because it was too crowded! Something about that museum draws immense crowds on the weekends, but I did not figure out why everyone was there seeing how I spent the entire time trying to find an exhibit that wasn't crowded! :)Mirandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13110676392577606205noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2895051152450109820.post-23981153849498485042009-11-30T01:05:13.198-05:002009-11-30T01:05:13.198-05:00You also took care of a very healthy fish, and kep...You also took care of a very healthy fish, and kept it healthy!
